Home School Cover Discussion

The
UUFM Board has discussed our Fellowship taking on the role of a home
school cover for our area. In the state of Alabama, home-schooled
children are required to register with a church school. The only
options available for most families are fundamental Christian church
schools. Since we believe in a free and responsible search for truth
and meaning, our sponsoring of a home school cover for local families,
will fulfill our mission of service to our community.
An informational workshop on
Alabama home school church cover schools will be led by Donna Mitchell,
home educator and administrator of Dayspring Academy since 1996. The
workshop will be held on Saturday, July 25, at the Fellowship Hall from
9-11 am. This workshop, which is open to all, includes the following
agenda:
